The Genetic Code is the 4 nitrogenous bases in RNA (Adenine, Thymine, Guanine and Uracil) and 20 amino acids
Codons code for amino acids and are 3 base pairs long (example: CAU)
-
Start Codon = AUG (Protein: Met.)
-
Anything before this codon = noncoding

 -
 -
Stop Codons = UGA, UAA, UAG
-
They stop protein coding because they don't code for no protein
-
Anything after these guys are not transcribed/coded for protein
