PHASE 1
-
An atmospheric carbon (meaning a random carbon from the atmosphere) comes in and with the help of the slow enzyme RUBISCO, the combo of the carbon and RuBP makes PGA
PHASE 2
-
Now it's time to downgrade PGA into G3P:
-
6 ATPs phosphorylate (gives a phosphate) to PGA making it now 1,3 BPG
-
6 NADPH reduce (give electrons) to 1,3 BPG and now we have 6 G3P....
-
....until 1 leaves to go make some sugar
-
PHASE 3
-
The combo of 5 G3P and 3 ATP regenerates 3 RuBP to then continue the cycle
